I'm engaged!!! Sorry I couldn't post this sooner, but now that it has been formally announced...here is my lil blog on one of the biggest moments of my life. 
We were eating at Ruth's Chris Steak House on April 3rd, 2007 to celebrate Roy's birthday. (Thanks for the suggestion Connie!) 
I had a scrumptious rare filet oscar style with an asparagus and crab cake to top it off.  The waiter brought Roy a dessert to celebrate his birthday. Because the dinner was slightly awkward with pauses and silent moments...I knew something was different...not bad different, but good different. 
While we were eating the dessert, Roy got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The other people at the restaurant were clapping for us. I felt like time stood still. I couldn't say "yes" immediately because I was so choked up. While tears were streaming down my face, I shook my head up and down vigorously and managed to squeal "yeah!". I am so lucky. I love you Roy. P.S. We are going to get married on 3/29/08. The church is already booked, I bought my dress, the colors are picked, the florist is booked, and I will have the venue chosen by the end of this week. I am almost positive who my photographer will be...but do you guys have any recommendations for videographers? |
